Every entrepreneur has heard it a million times over, “you need a social media presence, and post often.” While, yes, posting to various social media platforms is crucial for any business, there’s one aspect of the web that’s not only extremely important but often overlooked. People may surf more often on platforms like Facebook and Tik Tok, but when they get into the car, navigation apps like Google Maps and Apple Maps are the priority. We’ve all done it, and if we’re going to a location we haven’t been to before, we’ll scroll through the pictures and look at reviews…
Do you ever have days where you’re looking to have something rich, delicious and decadent? Did you ever notice how chocolate cake fits that profile oh so well? Whether it’s layered, or has a molten center, chocolate cake just cannot be beat. When the craving hits, moist cake and perfectly prepared icing are just to die for. It’s time for some cake. What’s your favorite?
Penguins are so cool, they have a day devoted to them. There are currently 18 species of this dapper bird recognized by scientists. In the opinion of The Muses, there is nothing more adorable than a bird that waddles around looking like it’s always wearing a tuxedo. They are even the spirit animal of Muse Team Member Nick Monte. As resilient as they are, these birds are in need of help. Environmental changes have caused populations to decline. If you can, please consider donating to causes that can help, like WWF, The Nature Conservancy, Defenders of Wildlife or Environmental Defense…
It’s Rubber Ducky Day. These cute little novelties bring us back to our younger years, when we used to play with them in the bathtub. Let’s revisit that for a minute or two and sing along with Ernie. You know you want to sing along. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mh85R-S-dh8
It’s probably been a long time since most of us have felt or experienced holiday magic. Do you remember the feeling you used to get driving around the neighborhood to see everyone’s lights and holiday displays? Do you remember the feeling of seeing tree lightings in town or at Rockefeller Center? Do you remember opening that toy you wanted the most? Do you remember playing with the box it came in directly after? It would be great to feel that way again. Let’s all sample some holiday activities that we can take part in and enjoy this year. Enjoy some really…
December 21st is National Coquito Day. This “Little Coconut” is a Puerto Rican holiday drink that is given as a gift and shared. Most families have their own recipes and pass them down from generation to generation. Coquito is typically made with a combination of rum, cream of coconut, coconut milk, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla and cinnamon. You can bet The Muses will be enjoying some ourselves along with some homemade cookies! We found a good recipe to try. You should have some too! Be sure to share it!
