American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast CancerMuse Marketing joined in the journey to end breast cancer, which took a big step forward in the American Cancer Society 2012 Making Strides of Newark NJ walk on Sunday, October 12. Military Park was the starting point for the 15,000 people who rallied at the event, with Team Muse adding nearly $1,000 to the $420,000 raised.

Angela Anemoyanis, CEO of Muse, was joined by Anthony Tarantino, President, Newark Fire Officer’s Union; Hon. Ron Jones, Mayor-Emeritus of Toms River; and Kelly MacDonald in the 3-mile walk that united the community by honoring breast cancer survivors, raising awareness on staying well, and raising money to help with research, services, and access to mammograms.

Since 1993, 8 million cancer charity walkers across the country have raised more than $460 million through Making Strides events to help create a world with less breast cancer and more birthdays. And, once again, Team Muse shared the fresh air and community involvement of this year’s gratifying, non-competitive local event.
