Recently, Angela Anemoyanis was the recipient of an award from the Newark Fire Department. Angela lent her assistance in the drafting of the 2013 Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response (SAFER) Grant application. Anemoyanis currently sits on the City of Newark’s Fire Department Grant Writing Committee. Her efforts extended to collaboratively writing a grant which garnered 5.6 million dollars that will provide funding to the Newark Fire Department that will help maintain an adequate number of trained firefighters on duty throughout the city.

Muse president Angela Anemoyanis has gladly accepted the nomination as a volunteer civilian member of the City of Newark Fire Department’s Grant Writing/Review Committee. This marks her acceptance of the nomination for the second year running. Thanks over her decision came in a letter dated August 23, from Newark Fire Chief John G. Centanni. Muse is excited to be a sponsor of this year’s United Civil Servants’ Blaze on the Beach to be held at Bar Anticipation (Bar A) on Friday, July 12, 2013. Blaze on the Beach is one of the most-anticipated Newark Fire Department events of the year with all of the proceeds going to help a fire department member whose child is in need. This year, the event starts at noon with open bar and barbecue till 5.00 p.m. Muse is assisting in this exciting and worthwhile event as a coordinator.
